We like to think of ourselves as humble down-to-earth Kiwis who just quietly get on with the job of surprising and delighting our customers. But every now and then someone notices that we have done something remarkable and we get a pat on the back.
The Qualmark Enviro Gold Award is the highest environmental award available to a tourism business. It recognises the company for our high level of commitment to environmental and social responsibility including energy efficiency, waste management, conservation, and community activities. Both the Wilderness Motorhomes Auckland and Christchurch bases have earned the Qualmark Enviro Gold Award.
We were pipped at the post for the top prize in the Rankers Traveller Voted Awards this year by a small operator with just a hand full of vehicles. But now we're even more hungry to win it back again!
In 2010, we took the top prize for all transport providers in the Rankers Traveller Voted Awards. Thanks to all our hirers who spread the word about their Wilderness experience.
Independent Travel Review website Rankers hands out accolades to tourism business that have delighted visitors to New Zealand. In it's inaugural year, we took the top prize for the motorhomes, campervans and RV section.
International professional services company Deloitte, has been celebrating business growth in New Zealand since 2001. In 2008, we ranked 18th fastest growing company and the got the top spot for companies in the tourism sector. Our growth was driven by strong demand for great products and exceptional service.
