When it comes to exploring New Zealand’s remote places, the Breeze 2 picks up where the legendary Base Jumper 2 left off. You can escape from civilization for days in the Breeze knowing that you have all you need to stay warm, dry, comfortable - and most importantly, well fed. If you’re considering exploring some of New Zealand’s new bicycle trails, the factory fitted bike rack on the rear (from September 2013) will make the Breeze the perfect campervan for you.
Award Winning Innovation
Because the Breeze is the only semi-integrated compact 2-berth campervan in the rental market, you're head and shoulders above the standard panel van style campervan. It's wider (more spacious), taller (more headroom) safer, and fully insulated so you'll feel like the king of the road. This market leading innovation earned the Breeze 2 the 'Compact Motorhome of the Year' award at the prestigious at the 2013 Motorhome Awards.
The Driver's Campervan
Just like the Base Jumper 2, the Breeze is built on the Fiat Ducato, the world’s only van specifically designed for campervans. The Fiat cab has more room, more visibility, better ergonomics and functionality, more drawers, more storage compartments, more shelves, more comfortable seats for driver and passengers, and less noise. You don’t need to look under the hood to notice that the Fiat has plenty of power. The 320N of torque will keep you at the head of the pack. With the MP3 connection in the driver's cab, you can listen to your favourite tunes while driving.
Ready for Remote Camping
Forget about sleeping cheek-by-jowl with other campers in a crowded camping ground, the Breeze is designed to get you to New Zealand’s wildest locations and stay there. It’s built to give you the freedom to camp over anywhere - without being reliant on a 240V hook up. The long life energy system combined with a 600w 12V inverter give you the power you need to last for days days without starting the engine or hooking up to mains power. The batteries supply the power and the inverter transforms it into the current you need to run the appliances and equipment.
The Unique Drying Room
We’ve taken the unique bathroom/drying room combination from the Base Jumper 2, stretched it out to give you more room and installed cabinets to keep your toiletries dry. The water tanks are bigger than the average 6-berth motorhome so you won’t be rushing your shower. The heater outlet supplies warm air (regardless of whether the engine is running) providing express drying for towels and clothing. It’s easy to spot the motorhomes that don’t have drying rooms – they’re the ones with underwear hanging from the wing mirrors!
Double the Relaxation
When it’s time to relax and unwind at the end of a day of adventure, you can choose from the bed in the rear or the lounge in the front. Lift up the rear door and take in the beauty of your surrounds while stretched out on the double bed or invite a couple of friends over to join you around the dinette with seating for five. Watch a DVD/MP4 or view your photos on the 16" flat LCD screen or listen to music on CD, MP3 or radio.
Fully Winterised
Let’s face it, not everyone can or wants to take a road trip in summer. It’s no surprise the most people are reluctant to take a winter road trip because most campervans are designed for winter conditions. We changed all that with the advent of the Base Jumper and the Breeze continues the tradition. The Breeze is fully insulated and has an efficient thermostatically controlled gas heating system. Just set the temperature that’s most comfortable and let the heater do the work.
Add optional extras like outdoor furniture and snow chains in winter.
