Water not flowing / low pressure from taps

The water system needs power to run the water pump, which draws water from the fresh water tank. If you have no flow or low pressure, check both the power supply and the water level first. Note: In The Suite there’s a separate Water Pump switch; in other models, the pump powers up when the 12V house battery is ON.

Diagnostics & Steps to Resolve:

  1. Check the 12V power is ON
    a. Go to the main control panel (by the habitation door)
    b. Turn the 12V house battery ON (indicator should light)
    c. Quick test: turn on an interior light—if it works, the 12V system has power

  2. If you’re in The Suite: switch the water pump ON
    a. At the main control panel, set the Water Pump switch to ON
    b. Open a cold tap for 10–15 seconds to see if flow returns

  3. For all other models: confirm pump is enabled by the 12V system
    a. With 12V ON, open a cold tap for 10–15 seconds
    b. Listen for a gentle pump hum—this indicates the pump has power

  4. Check the fresh water level
    a. On the control panel, confirm the fresh water tank isn’t empty
    b. If empty or very low, refill the fresh water tank (hose is in the rear storage/locker)
    c. After refilling, open a tap for 20–30 seconds to clear air from the lines

  5. Test multiple outlets
    a. Check at least two taps (e.g., kitchen and bathroom, and the shower if available)
    b. If only one outlet has no flow or very low flow, it’s likely a tap outlet issue (e.g., blocked aerator or internal fault) rather than a water supply problem

  6. If pressure is weak at all taps
    a. Ensure 12V power is still ON and battery isn’t low (dim lights can indicate low battery)
    b. If batteries are low, connect to 240V mains power at your campsite to recharge
    c. Open a tap for up to 30 seconds to release trapped air; short bursts are safe for the pump

  7. Retest
    a. Close all taps, then open one tap fully on cold
    b. Observe steady flow and pressure; repeat on hot (after a few seconds)
