B Corp isn't just an eco-label. Think of it as a rigorous 360-degree health check for a business's entire operation. The non-profit B Lab independently verifies that a company meets high standards for:
As a certified B Corp, we’re part of transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet.
We’ve always aimed to offer incredible adventures while operating responsibly. Business can and should be a force for good in the world, so for Wilderness, becoming a B Corp was a natural step in strengthening our promise to:

To say I'm proud would be an understatement. This certification is a real testament to our team's incredible passion and hard work. We’ve always felt a deep sense of kaitiakitanga, or guardianship, for Aotearoa. But good intentions weren't enough. We pursued B Corp certification to hold ourselves to the highest possible standard. We wanted a framework that would challenge us to look deeper, measure our impact, and prove to ourselves and to our guests that our commitment to our land, our people, and our communities is at the core of every single thing we do.

To become a B Corp, a company has to prove that it's committed to doing good by showing it’s making a positive difference. The certification is rigorous. To even be considered, a business must achieve a minimum verified score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment. The median score for ordinary businesses is just 50. Think of it like a report card that checks every part of a business to see how well it’s doing — for people and the planet.
We make sure our mission, values, and governance always guide us to do what's right for everyone involved—our team, our community, and the planet.
Your experience matters! We commit to protecting your personal information, providing great customer service, offering quality motorhomes, and being completely honest in everything we say, from our ads to in-person chats.
We focus on creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive workplace. That means providing good wages and excellent benefits, like free health insurance, extended secondary caregiver leave and being a proud member of Pride Pledge.
We're passionate about the places we explore. We're actively reducing our carbon footprint by switching our support fleet to electric vehicles (EVs). We're also offsetting scope one and two emissions through Forever Forests and supporting wildlife projects like the Predator Free Hauraki Coromandel Community Trust. Plus, we follow a "repair-first" policy and include reusable items in your motorhome to cut down on waste.
We contribute to the local community by supporting local businesses and partnering with like-minded community organisations. This includes supporting Will & Able (who employ New Zealanders with disabilities), collaborating with Trees That Count to restore native forests, and providing support to the Monte Cecilia Housing Trust in our local neighbourhood.
It means you're trusting a travel partner dedicated to doing good. We hold ourselves to very high standards with how we treat our team, our community and our environment. Our B Corp commitment benefits you through:
Feel great knowing your motorhome hire supports a business that cares deeply about people and the planet, ensuring your journey leaves a positive impact
Our commitment to longevity and our repair-first programme means you get a meticulously maintained, high-quality German motorhome.

We're proud to join this global movement, but we also know that trust is earned. The B Corp certification isn't just a badge we display on our website; it's a public promise that is backed by a rigorous process. This process holds us accountable to you, our team, and the planet in four key ways.
We first had to pass the rigorous B Impact Assessment, which scores our entire operation. Our verified score of 82.6 offers genuine, data-backed validation of our commitment, far exceeding the median score of 50 for ordinary businesses.
We also had to change our company's legal paperwork. This means we are now legally committed to considering how our choices impact everyone—our guests, employees, community, and the environment, not just our owners. This change ensures our promise to do good endures.
We are required to be transparent by sharing our B Impact Assessment results publicly. You can view our current overall B Impact score on the B Corporation website at any time, so you can see the data for yourself.
B Corp isn’t a 'one and done' exercise. We must recertify every three years, a process that is actually more demanding because we are required to demonstrate tangible progress, not just maintain our previous score. This requirement ensures we remain on track, keeps the bar high, and pushes us to continue improving everything we do.
