You won’t find another rental motorhome with as much space and comfort as The Suite. Kick back on the leather sofa, soak in the mood lighting, and enjoy the view through the large rear windows. When the day is done, drop the made up beds from the ceiling and say “good night”.
When it comes to space and comfort, The Suite can’t be beaten. The generous L-shaped lounge in the rear with large windows allows you to relax and enjoy the view. A second lounge upfront is an ideal setup for dining. At night, the living area transforms into a bedroom at the press of a button. The already made up double beds cleverly tuck back into the ceiling when not in use. There’s even space to accommodate a travel cot for the smallest traveller in the group.
Every Wilderness motorhome is a premium German designed and manufactured vehicle suitable for travel in all seasons. Each comes fitted with double-glazed windows, full insulation, heating, air conditioning in the cab, roof vents and latched windows with insect screens.

Our Wilderness campervans have everything you need to travel comfortably included in the base price, with no extra charges for basics like bedding or kitchen equipment. We’ve even got you covered for making your morning coffee. Here’s what’s included in your hire:
Sheets, duvets (doonas), blankets, and pillows to keep you cosy and clothes hangers for when you unpack.
A full gas bottle, plus crockery, cutlery, cups, glasses, bowls, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. A coffee plunger and kettle will set you up for the morning. There’s also a dish cloth and brush, tea towels, dustpan and brush, and a fire extinguisher.
Bath towels (as many as you’d like), toilet paper roll, water refilling hose, and toilet chemicals.
Standard insurance with an excess of NZ$7500. You can reduce this even further with one of our liability reduction options for extra peace of mind.
A handy kit for treating minor cuts, scrapes, or sprains. (Note: a small fee will apply if opened).
Pick up your free SIM card with your motorhome. You can indicate how many SIM cards you want in your My Booking page.
We’ll pick you up from the airport or your airport hotel at the beginning of your hire and drop you off again at the end.
We’re there if you need us with our 24-hour roadside assistance service.
Unlike many other campervan companies, we don’t have road restrictions, so go ahead and take that road less travelled. Our standard insurance covers you on conservation campsite access roads and all other named roads (sealed or unsealed).
The free Wilderness NZ app helps give you the confidence to explore the country well off-the-beaten-track. It’s ideal for planning where you want to park up each night on your journey. Download Wilderness NZ from the App Store or Google Play. Also, check out our top 10 travel app suggestions.
You won’t find any additional charges for extra drivers, cleaning, or one-way hire.
All our rentals include comprehensive liability reduction options with your daily hire. This covers accidental damage to the motorhome and public liability, so we encourage you to be adventurous (but not negligent or irresponsible).
The included Standard liability option has a NZ$7500 excess (or deductible), but we also offer a few additional liability reduction options for added peace of mind.

The Suite is the most spacious motorhome on our fleet because it has two lounges. That’s more space to spread out and relax than pretty much any other rental motorhome you’ll find. The beds tuck away in the ceiling during the day and night can be lowered down with the flick of a switch.
The Suite motorhome is perfect for babies and toddlers. Unlike most other rental motorhomes, there’s plenty of floor space for a travel cot in the lounge. Plus, the sliding door between the lounge and the rest of the motorhome can be closed giving your little one a quiet space.
No. The maximum number of people permitted in The Suite is four. That’s because it has four seat belts. All motorhome occupants must have a seatbelt.
A drop-down bed is a clever German innovation that maximizes the floor space in a motorhome. It tucks away into the ceiling during the day then can be lowered down when you’re ready for bed at the press of a button.
The safety nets on the sides of the drop down beds makes them safe for older children. However, the safest place for toddlers and small children to sleep in The Suite is in a travel cot on the floor.
No. The drop down bed in the rear lounge can only be used when there’s no travel cot in use.
That depends on what motorhome equipment you use and how long you spend driving each day. All our motorhomes are designed for freedom camping so the equipment can be powered by the house battery when you’re not connected to mains power at a campsite. Your battery will recharge while you drive but if you’re a heavy user of features like the entertainment system, this may not be enough. We recommend that you stay overnight at a powered site every 48 hours to fully recharge the batteries.
Unfortunately not. While The Suite can’t be beaten for interior living space, the King/Twin for 4 has the most exterior storage. The outside locker in the King/Twin for 4 can take surfboards up to 7 ft long or a little longer if you carefully stow it. If you’re unsure about whether your surfboard will fit, we suggest you bring it to our base before your trip to check it in the motorhome locker.
Our motorhome selector will take you on a journey to find the best solution for the experience your after.
